Coward

The pills they stopped reacting
The thirst that never quenched
The faces they started changing
But darkness remained the same

How on earth I lived so long
Should have departed
Before things went wrong

Should have flown high
Might have reached you in time
But since I am stuck here
My wings fail to fly

Meaningless it seems
To live to die or to claim
What has never been mine

Within the clouds I would have been
I know you are there all alone
But is it me that you seek
Or is it tears that you want to shed alone

Coward the one who flies away they say
Doesn't matter what they say I will leave today
To meet the coward and be one myself
